Craig briefs for May 29

Carnival extending stay

— Brown's Amusement Carnival will be in Craig through Saturday because of a last-minute opening in its schedule.

Advanced discount all-you-can-ride passes will be honored for those who missed this weekend because of inclement weather. Tickets are available at the gate for those who missed the carnival Memorial Day weekend or those looking for another fun-filled evening.

The carnival will be open from 5 to 11 p.m. through Friday and from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Brown's Amusement Carnival visits Craig in partnership with the Craig Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the carnival's revenues are returned to the chamber and help fund operations of the chamber and Moffat County Visitor Center.

Paintball tournament this weekend

Beth Cervera and her company, SnapShot Souvenirs, will partner with the Wyman Museum for a double elimination paintball tournament May 31 and June 1 at the Wyman Museum.

The tournament pits three-person teams against each other in a series of best-of-three matches.

The team entry fee is $100. Contestants may use their own equipment or rent a gun and ammunition from SnapShot for $15.
