Worsley wins state title in 100-butterfly

Two and a half seconds.

Moffat County swimmer Kyle Steitz said he could change clothes in that amount of time.

Coach Patti Worsley - stopwatch in hand - found several things to do in 2.5 seconds.

But what her son did was the most impressive.

Cole Worsley entered the 4A swimming state championships in Fort Collins as the No. 1 seed in the 100-yard butterfly.

The Steamboat Springs High School senior who swims for the Bulldogs didn't disappoint in Saturday's finals.

Cole blew away the competition, swimming the four laps required in 52.45 seconds, winning the state title by more than four body-lengths.

And, 2.5 seconds.
