A Passover Seder will be celebrated at 7 p.m. March 20 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 657 Green St. Sponsored by St. Mark’s, Lutheran Church of Grace and Friendship United Methodist, the family event is open to anyone until Witte Hall reaches capacity.

The Seder meal is the foundation of the Christian Sacrament of Holy Communion, a celebration in story and psalms of the saving acts of God. At the center is the exodus of the “chosen people” from Egypt.

Passover recipes will be served at the meal, including lamb and brisket. Organizers are requesting those wishing to attend make reservations.

EDP seminar on taxes today at courthouse

The Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership and the Moffat County Assessor’s Office will host a free seminar Wednesday, March 12 on “understanding your business property taxes.”

The seminar is set for 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. inside the second-floor conference room at the Moffat County Courthouse, 201 Victory Way. Admission is free.

The seminar will also give visitors a clearer picture of what the mill levy is.
