6:30 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County’s inaugural Bone Appetit Barbecue Dinner/Dance begins at the OP Bar and Grill, 534 E. Victory Way. Tickets cost $30 a person, $55 a couple and can be purchased from the OP Bar and Grill and Humane Society members. The event is a fundraiser for animal needs in Moffat County. 1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. It is open to the public. Sunday bingo sessions occur every week. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

5 p.m. United Mine Workers Asso­ciation Local 1799 meets at the Center of Craig. Call 824-4134.

Monday, June 30

5 to 9 p.m. The Rack Pack Relay for Life team and Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant, 1111 W. Victory Way, host a fundraiser for cancer research. A free margarita will be given out with every meal. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds go to Relay for Life.

5:30 p.m. The Craig Centennial Com­mittee will meet at Craig City Hall. The public is welcome.

6 p.m. The Craig Chamber of Com­merce and Communities Over­coming Meth Abuse present a methamphetamine awareness seminar at the Moffat County School District Administration building, 775 Yampa Ave. Hear the facts about the extent of methamphetamine use in Craig, understand how the drug affects users and the community, and learn what law enforcement and the judicial system are doing in response. There is no charge, and refreshments will be served.

7 p.m. Eagle’s Wings Christian School hosts a meeting for parents of registered or prospective students for this fall at the Craig Fire Station. Call 824-4268.

Thursday, July 3

2 to 3 p.m. Sen. Ken Salazar appears at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. The senator will spend some of the time discussing the recently passed Farm Bill including conservation, nutrition, commodity and renewable energy titles. The event is open to the public.
