Nick Moyer in first at Golf Tour
Craig — Craig resident Nick Moyer reclaimed the top spot in the ACE Junior Golf Tour on Monday in Gypsum.
Moyer carded a 95 — his highest score of the summer season — at Cotton Ranch Club, but his third-place finish Monday catapulted him into the overall lead.
“It was really windy and rainy,” Moyer said. “But, I’m back into first.”
The Moffat County High School senior led the Tour after the first two rounds, and then slipped to fourth last week in Grand Junction.
Moyer has a stroke-total of 343 through the tour’s first four rounds, an 18-hole average of 86.
The Tour continues Monday at Battlement Mesa Golf Club, in Battlement Mesa.
