— With some fantasy football leagues preparing for upcoming drafts, I believe now would be a good time to take a look at some players that will be worth picking up come draft day.

The thing to remember about draft day is to look for players who can be deemed "value picks." You can get these players later on in drafts after all the big names are gone and still get good production from them during the season.

Here are some draft sleepers to keep an eye on:

• Roddy White, Atlanta, wide receiver - White racked up more than 1,200 yards last season and six touchdowns. If he can click with rookie quarterback Matt Ryan, look for White to duplicate, if not improve on his 2007 numbers. Don't expect Joe Horn to cut into White's production, either. White will be expected to be a staple in the Falcons' passing diet with Ryan at quarterback.

• Ryan Grant, Green Bay, running back - Grant racked up a lofty 956 yards in only seven starts in 2007. Just imagine if he could start all of the Pack's games next year. You get the idea. He's good. He would be a perfect mid- to late-round pickup to shore up your running back position. In more competitive leagues, he likely will go in the mid rounds so keep him in mind as you are drafting.

• Brandon Jacobs, New York Giants, running back - He might not be the most prolific scorer as far as running backs go (only four touchdowns last season) but he'll get you yardage. He piled up 1,009 yards rushing last season. He averaged just more than 91 rushing yards a game last year, but if you add in his nearly 16 receiving yards a game, he averaged more than 100 yards per game. He could almost be considered a poor man's Brian Westbrook. Considering the Giants won the Super Bowl, he might go a little bit earlier than expected in drafts.

• Owen Daniels, Houston Texans, tight end - Look for Daniels to improve on his 768 yards and 63 receptions from last year. With quarterback Matt Schaub looking to get better, expect Daniels' numbers to go get a bump along the way as well as Schaub targets him more.

• David Garrard, Jacksonville Jaguars, quarterback - It's easy to see why Garrard had a quarterback rating of 102.2 last season. He threw 18 touchdowns and only three interceptions the whole season. He averaged about 209 passing yards per game, which is enough to warrant a spot on a roster in most leagues. Garrard will probably be a mid- to late-round pick in most leagues.
