Agriculture service
center hosts open house
The public is cordially invited to the open house hosted by Craig's United States Department of Agriculture Service Center. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 6 at the USDA center, 145 Commerce St.
Refreshments will be served, with cake available at 2:30 p.m.
Youth Wellness Initiative to meet Aug. 7
Parents and community members are invited to attend a meeting next month about youth access to alcohol.
The Youth Wellness Initiative meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association's Craig office, 745 Russell St. For more information, call Diane Miller at 871-7609.
Fair Ultimate Fighting event canceled
The Moffat County Fair Board announced Thursday the cancellation of the Ultimate Cage Fighting event promoted by Steve Gatorwolf. The event had been scheduled for Aug. 8 at the Moffat County Fair.
Story time held every Thursday at library
The Moffat County Library, 570 Green St., will host story time at 10 and 11:30 a.m. every Thursday in the children's room.
The following weeks will have special themes: July 31, the works of "Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter; Aug. 7, the County Fair and farm animals; Aug. 14, the Summer Olympics.
Arrive 10 minutes before each scheduled session to avoid distracting from the readings. For more information, call 824-5116.
