Police looking for robbery suspect
Craig Police Department investigators are trying to determine the identity of a male customer who was in the east Kum & Go convenience store on Victory Way on Monday morning.
The customer was in the store at the time of an attempted robbery, the Police Department reported in a news release Monday.
Police reported that between 3:30 and 3:45 a.m. a male suspect entered the store wearing a bandana across his face and threatened the store clerk with a knife. The clerk did not comply with the suspect’s demands to open the cash register and give the suspect money.
The suspect then left the store on foot, walking north on Legion Street. Officers and investigators responded to the scene and conducted an investigation into the incident.
The customer is asked to call the Police Department’s Investigations Unit at 826-2367 or 826-2366. The investigation into the attempted robbery is ongoing.
