Mike Albee: Obscene gesture unfair

To the editor:
This letter is to the motorcycle rider that I almost pulled in front of on Yampa Avenue by the middle school at about 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 13. I would like to apologize for my error, but I really didn’t see you until the last minute. Sometimes it is difficult to see motorcycles, even for the most cautious of drivers.
I know because I used to ride myself but decided to quit after too many close calls when automobile drivers did not see me. I would like to say, however, that your obscene gesture to me was totally unfair. If I had done something intentional I would have deserved that gesture, but I legitimately did not see you.
Oh, by the way, do you happen to know the speed limit on Yampa Avenue by the middle school?
Mike Albee

you know, I always find it odd how someone will make an apology and then follow it with but you………. either make an apology or make a comment about how you were offended, don't pull them together like that.

I can safely say that it wasn't me on my big HD…that thing is so loud most people do notice me because they hear me coming first. I wouldn't flip anyone the bird though either if they didn't see me. I agree with you on the “but” though craig_gal.
