Integrated Community/Comunidad Integrada is looking for volunteers to help teach new English as a Second Language classes. Classes will include instruction on reading, speaking and writing English. A volunteer teacher training is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon July 23 at Integrated Community’s Craig office, 510 Breeze St. No experience is required, and no foreign language skills are needed. Dinner fundraiser for Relay for Life

The Rack Pack Relay for Life team will host a dinner fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Vallarta’s Mexican Restaurant, 1111 W. Victory Way, to raise money for cancer research. Margaritas will be on sale for two for the price of one.

Twenty-five percent of the proceeds go to Relay for Life.

Volunteers needed for Relay for Life

The Rotary Club of Craig is looking for volunteers to help with the activities of Relay for Life.

The group will work on the event’s traffic control and registration from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday. From 6 to 9 p.m., volunteers will help with the setup of luminarias around the Moffat County High School track.

Volunteers also are needed for cleanup duties and additional traffic control from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information on sign-up, call Gene Bilodeau at 824-1103.

Cardiology services to begin July 22

Dr. William Baker, cardiologist for Heart Center of the Rockies, will see patients in Craig every Tuesday beginning July 22. Office visit for general cardiology will be available at Kinder Family Clinic, 595 Russell St. To make an appointment, call 870-1035.

Dr. Baker is part of Heart Center of the Rockies’ team of 18 cardiologists, two cardiovascular surgeons and staff, according to a news release from the Heart Center. The institution also conducts advanced cardiac evaluations at the Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs. Humane Society to host annual garage sale

The Humane Society of Moffat County now is accepting donations for its annual garage sale scheduled for July 26.

Call Ann at 826-2717 or 326-8133 for more information. The Humane Society is not accepting large appliances or clothes.

Library to sell bags of books

The Moffat County Library will sell bags of books for $1.00 each Wednesday. The bag will be made up of a varied and plentiful assortment of used books. All books on displays marked “Friends of the Library” are included in the sale. You can check the displays weekly as those items will continue to rotate. Call 824-5116 for more information.

Puppy training classes to start Tuesday

Head Start Puppy Trainings are scheduled to take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 29 and Aug. 5 at the Centennial Mall, 1111 W. Victory Way. Classes cover various topics, including helping puppies socialize with other dogs and children. The series of four classes cost $125.

Participants should bring the following items to each class:

• A blanket or rug where puppy has a familiar spot to stay.

• Folding chairs for each member of the family.

• Plastic bags for doggie clean-up.

• A “stuffable” dog toy, such as Kongs and Goodie Ships and Hollow Bones.

• Good-tasting soft (not crunchy) dog treats.

• A water bowl for puppies.

• A pencil for taking notes.

• A bag to contain supplies.

Family members are welcomed to attend. An Ultimate Puppy Tool Kit will be supplied and is included in the cost of the class. For more information, call Sandra Kruczek at 824-4189 or Laura Tyler at 824-5148.
