- Rosa and Genaro Lopez, of Craig, announce the birth of their son, Gennaro Luciano Lopez Perez, at 11:23 p.m. June 24 at The Memorial Hospital. The baby weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Guadalupe Aguirre and Salvador Perez H, of Mexico. Paternal grandparents are Evanjelina Segoviano and Genaro Lopez, of Mexico.
- Michelle and Jeff Simon, of Craig, announce the birth of their son, Kolby Dale Simon, at 5:25 p.m. July 2 at The Memorial Hospital. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Jane and Rick Mohler, of Grand Junction, and Jerry Paulson, of Craig. Paternal grandparents are Billie and Jim Kiger, of Paonia, and Charles Simon, of Craig. The baby was welcomed home by siblings, Tyler and Emily.
