10 and 11:30 a.m. The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries hosts story time at the library, 570 Green St. This week’s theme is jungle animals.
5:45 to 7 p.m. Several Northwest Colorado agencies are working together to create a campaign to prevent underage drinking, which will focus on parent responsibility, community education and youth access to alcohol in our community. The meeting is in the Moffat County High School library, 900 Finley Lane. Refreshments will be provided. Call Diane Miller at 824-8233.
6 to 7:30 p.m. The seventh annual Free Family Literature Carnival is at Moffat County High School, by the main entrance. There will be games involving reading, writing and math, as well as prizes. The event is for children in preschool to sixth grade, who must be accompanied by an adult. Books can be brought and traded.
Friday, Feb. 1
12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Northwest Colorado Homeschool Association PE classes are offered at the Boys & Girls Club. For more information, call Michelle at 620-0283.
6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played, with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.
7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care are provided. Latecomers are welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.
Saturday, Feb. 2
A Soldiers’ Snowmobile Ride is scheduled for the Craig area. The ride, which is a salute to veterans, is free for military personnel and their spouses. Call Stan at (970) 326-7160.
5 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 4265 hosts its monthly senior citizens’ dinner at the VFW Restaurant. The menu will be goulash, coleslaw, biscuits and brownies.
7:30 p.m. The Santa Cruz River Band is scheduled to play in the Moffat County High School auditorium as part of the Craig Concert Association series. Tickets cost $15 at the door, or call Julie at 824-5251.

1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Sunday bingo sessions occur every week. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

9 to 11 a.m. Toddler/preschool playgroup is at Serendipity’s. Call Kevin at 824-1703.

6 to 7:30 p.m. The Outreach Group of St. Mark’s Episcopal & Lutheran Church of Grace invites the community to its annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at 657 Green St. Donations will go to the local Interfaith Food Bank.
6:30 to 8:15 p.m. “Pulse” Young group, for youths ages 11 to 18, meets every Tuesday at the New Creation Church in the Centennial Mall. Call 756-0010.
7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada offers a free English and Spanish learning club, Intercambio, every Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. The club is for all ages. Call 824-6424.
