Today

— 8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Moffat County Tourism Association conducts a workshop in the upstairs conference room at the Moffat County Courthouse. MCTA will discuss possible changes to the 2008 budget. The meeting is open to the public.

6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

Friday, Jan. 25

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care is provided. Late-comers welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

Saturday, Jan. 26

1 to 4 p.m. Happy Hands Crochet Club meets at 655 Ranney St. The club will work on a ribbon coaster project. Call Mary Walter at 824-2923.

1:30 p.m. Preserving the Last Frontier historical group meets in the second floor meeting room at Sunset Meadows, 633 Ledford St. Chuck Mack will speak about the history of coal mining in the region. The meeting is open to the public. Call 824-5343.

6 p.m. to midnight. Craig Rotary Club is holding its annual Diamond and Spurs Dinner Dance at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Dining provided by Bad to the Bone, and the evening will include dancing and music. Tickets are $60 and must be purchased in advance. Call Randy Looper at 826-4444.

7:30 p.m. The Yampa Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines International hosts its annual show at Moffat County High School. This year's show title is "Craig Idol." Tickets are $8 and $5 for seniors/students.

Sunday, Jan. 27

2 p.m. AARP Chapter No. 1418 meets at Sunset Meadows I, 663 Ledford St. Call 824-5123.

6 p.m. The Colorado Division of Wildlife sponsors a week-long Hunter Safety Class at St. Michael Catholic Church. Call 824-3628.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

6:30 to 8:15 p.m. "Pulse" Young group, for youths ages 11 to 18, meets every Tuesday at the New Creation Church in the Centennial Mall. Call 756-0010.

7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada offers a free English and Spanish learning club, Intercambio, every Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Call 846-5521.
