State offices are closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. City and county offices are not. Craig’s Veterans Service Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Boys & Girls Club of Craig will be open for extended hours. Sledding and other activities are scheduled throughout the day. There will be a $10 charge for extended hours, which are from 1 to 6 p.m. Call 826-0411.

9 to 11 a.m. Toddler/preschool playgroup is at Serendipity’s. Call Kevin at 824-1703.

4 to 6 p.m. The MS Support Group meets at the Visiting Nurse Association office in Craig, 745 Russell St. Call Kathy at 871-7661.

7 p.m. The Northwestern Colorado American Pool players Association 8-ball pool league is at the Popular Bar. Play starts Jan. 6, and the last day to join is Jan. 28. Call 826-2783.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

6:30 to 8:15 p.m. “Pulse” Young group, for youths ages 11 to 18, meets every Tuesday at the New Creation Church in the Centennial Mall. Call 756-0010.

7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada offers a free English and Spanish learning club, Intercambio, every Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. Call 846-5521.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

6 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

Thursday, Jan. 24

9 a.m. Craig Poetry girls meets every Thursday except the second Thursday of the month at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave. Call 824-5343

Friday, Jan. 25

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care is provided. Late-comers welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

Saturday, Jan. 26

6 p.m. to midnight Craig Rotary Club is holding its annual Diamond and Spurs Dinner Dance at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. Dining is provided by Bad to the Bone, and the evening will include dancing and music. Tickets are $60 and must be purchased in advance. Call Randy Looper at 826-4444.

7:30 p.m. The Yampa Valley Chapter of the Sweet Adelines International hosts its annual show at Moffat County High School. This year’s show title is “Craig Idol.” Tickets are $8 and $5 for seniors and students.

Sunday, Jan. 27

1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. The event is open to the public. Sunday bingo sessions occur every week. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.
