Corrie Ponikvar knew the lofty fundraising goal her organization set would be difficult to reach, and indeed it was. Based on the latest figures, it appears Moffat County United Way’s latest campaign drive will fall just short of the $475,000 target.

A 27-year-old man listed as a transient was arrested Monday on suspicion of committing a burglary that included the theft of firearms, the Craig Police Department reported.

Repeating for one more time, Local American Legion Post 62 has arranged with the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office to assist city and county senior citizens and/or disabled veterans by establishing a courtesy snow removal service, using inmates from the safety center.
