April 21 — Celebration kickoff. April 21 was the day Craig was officially made a town. Join us for the judging of the beard growing contest at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum of Northwest Colorado.
May 1-3 — Colorado State Taxidermy Championships at the Craig Holiday Inn.
May 17 — Where the Hell's Maybell annual bicycle ride from Craig to Maybell begins at 7 a.m. Call 826-2029 for more information.
May 17 — TW Legislative golf tournament.
May 23-26 — Grand Olde West Days, a four day event featuring a carnival, concert, parade, street festival and more. Go to www.grandoldewest.com for event details.
June — (TBA) Taste of Craig festival
June 5-8 — Mountain Man Rendezvous at the Wyman Living History Museum. Call 824-6346 for more information.
June 11-14 — Whittle the Wood Rendezvous, a four-day event where wood carvers from across the nation converge on City Park to turn tree stumps into works of art. The Rendezvous culminates on Saturday, June 14 with a festival where the entries are judged and the city of Craig provides a free concert in the park.
June 21 — 10 a.m. Yampa Valley Electric Association annual meeting in Craig followed by a community barbecue at 12:30 p.m. at the Moffat County Fairgrounds.
June 26 — Share your stories and hear others during a night celebrating railroad history at The Center of Craig.
July 4 — Independence Day. Time capsules buried 100 years ago will be opened at Craig City Hall. Craig Fire/Rescue will set off fireworks from the top of Finley Lane.
July 12 — Don't miss your chance to see Three Dog Night live and in concert at Moffat County Fairgrounds. Colorado's own Firefall will open. Tickets are $20. Ticket information will be posted as soon as it's available. The concert will be followed by a fireworks display.
July 19 — The community is invited to a barbecue hosted by the Cattlemen's Association 5:30 p.m. at Loudy-Simpson Park. The crowd will be entertained by 1340 Junction. Lunch is $8 and includes dessert.
July 19 — AirFest from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Craig/Moffat County Airport. Day starts with Taps and a pancake breakfast and there will be a flyover at noon. Admission is $5 per person. 12 and under are free.
July 20 — Centennial Craig golf tournament at the Yampa Valley Golf Course
July 24 — The Craig Lions Club will host a wine tasting and decadent dessert soiree from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Center of Craig. This event will be your only chance to get limited edition Centennial Craig wine, labeled using Craig's centennial logo.
July 29 — Closing ceremonies. New time capsules will be buried at city hall.
