Mary Jo Brown: Senior spotlight
February 19, 2008

February is here, and Valentine’s Day has passed, but we can still have a heart full of different things good to give.
Forgiveness is one — to me, a major one. Hope and hugs are others. Give someone a hug today. Friendship is another. Make a new friend or strengthen a friendship by doing something for that someone. Add love to the list. You may not realize how many people need love, and by giving them hugs, forgiveness, hope and friendship, you are giving love.
Now, don’t you feel better? I do.
Happy belated birthdays to Jerod Chacon and Irene Eckert. Happy birthday to all the rest of you I didn’t get.
Get well/speedy recovery to Evelyn Powell, Shirley Barone, Betty Musik, Linda Nichols, Millie Bilsing, Dorothy Chivington and Rita Reich.
The AARP meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the Sunset Meadows I dining room.
The McDonalds senior breakfast is Wednesday, Feb. 27.
The noon potluck at Sunset Meadows I on Friday was a little sparse. Hope all is well, and we’ll see you this Friday. Bingo will follow.
News is always welcome. Call or write.
Thanks.
Mary Jo Brown

Question of the week
Did the Moffat County School Board make the right decision in replacing MCHS athletic director Rick Penner, who had been considered missing after not being heard from for about a week?
