8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.

9 to 9:30 a.m. United States Department of Agriculture commodities are to be distributed by the Moffat County Department of Social Services in Maybell at the Maybell Community Center. All households that receive commodities must be recertified each year. A picture ID, proof of address and income or current eligibility is required. Call Social Services at 824-8282.

6 p.m. Dr. Jessica German, a chiropractor and nutritional therapist, conducts a seminar, “Emotions and Weight Loss” at the Craig Fire Station. The cost is $10 per seminar. RSVP is required. Call 824-9479.

6 p.m. A Stations of the Cross and soup dinner takes place at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St.

Thursday, Feb. 14

9:30 a.m. The Craig Book Club meets Thursday at Serendipity Coffee Shop. “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” by Mark Haddon will be reviewed by Bonnie Thompson. Call Susie at 824-1956.

10 and 11:30 a.m. Story time is at the Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries. This week’s theme is Valentine’s Day.

Friday, Feb. 15

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care are provided. Late comers are welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

Saturday, Feb. 16

The Moffat County Libraries is closed for President’s Day.

9 a.m. The 19th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Show and X-treme Mountain Racing takes place at the Wyman Museum. Call 824-6346.

11 a.m. The Third Annual Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Chili Cook-Off takes place at the Wyman’s Living Museum. Entries must be filled out and returned to the Chamber no later than Feb. 11 or emailed to assistant@craig-chamber.com. The entry fee for Chamber members is $15 and $20 for non-members. Checks payable to the Chamber are due before judging begins at 1 p.m.

6 p.m. The American Legion Post No. 62 hosts bingo night at the Elk’s Lodge, 43 W. Victory Way. Eleven games will be played. Doors open at 5 p.m. A 10-game pack costs $15. Call 824-3625.

2 to 3 p.m. Paige Durbin, a Moffat County elementary school student, reads her essay about her great-grandmother at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave. The essay was recently published in “Relatively Speaking: A Book by Kids, about Family, for Everyone.” Call 824-5343.
