Craig United States Department of Agriculture commodities are to be distributed by the Moffat County Department of Social Services at various locations from Tuesday to Thursday.
On Tuesday, commodities are to be disturbed in Craig from 9 to 11 a.m. at 595 Breeze St. (North east alley entrance).
On Wednesday, commodities are to be distributed in Maybell from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Maybell Community Center.
On Thursday, commodities are to be distributed in Dinosaur from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dinosaur Social Service building.
All households that receive commodities must be recertified each year. A picture ID, proof of address and income or current eligibility is required. Call Social Services at 824-8282.
Send military academy applications to Salazar
The Grand Junction Office of U.S. Congressman John T. Salazar is accepting applications for students who are interested in attending a military service academy.
All application materials for the class of 2013 must be received by Oct. 17, 2008, to be considered in the nomination process. For information, or to request an application packet, call George Delahanty at 970-245-7107.
Dickson art show runs through February
Dennis Dickson, now of Craig and formerly of Steamboat Springs for eight years, is having an art show featuring pencil drawings at the Steamboat Springs Mental Health Center.
The art show runs through the month of February, with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 879-2141.
