Craig The Craig Middle School eighth-grade boys finished second in their season-ending tournament in Rangely.
The No. 1 seeded Bulldogs, short three starters, first took on No. 4 Meeker and won, 17-10. Tyler Hildabrand was the leading scorer, netting 11 points.
The win moved the Bulldogs into the grand championship game, where they faced No. 3 Rangeley. The CMS boys didn't have as much luck in that game, losing 20-19.
The Bulldogs were leading until the fourth quarter, coach Dave Grabowski said, but then turnovers got the best of the CMS boys.
"(Rangely) won in the last two minutes," he said.
Hildabrand again was the top scorer in the game, adding another 11 points to his season total.
"It was a good season," coach Dave Grabowski said. "The kids learned a lot and ended the season well."

Question of the week
Should the Craig Chamber of Commerce revise its State of the County attendance policy to allow people to hear speakers without paying for a ticket?

Was it really necessary to cover this much on a middle school team? I understand one article everynow and then but a few everyweek? way too much. I wonder what the article would have been about if Paul Laliberte was in the lineup? And in past articles was it his absence that they lost? It is ridiculous how much coverage this team got wait a minute how much coverage Paul Laliberte got!! How can one team be based off of just one player, oh wait that is how every team in Moffat County is, high school or not.

Playfair, you're an idiot.
Laliberte wasn't present for almost half of the team's games, and yet, CMS was still covered. If Carmelo Anthony scores 40 points, do they interview or write about the guy riding the pine? Of course not. The story will be about Melo leading the Nuggets.
Buckley, Chavez and Hildebrandt were mentioned all year as much as Laliberte.
Do you even know who they are? Can you read?
And by the way, a true sports fan wouldn't complain about too much coverage…of any sport.
Maybe you'd be more interested in underwater basketweaving. I heard it's a sports nerds really enjoy.
You'd probably love it.

You may be new to the forum, but I already like your style. I have found that I have had to resort to calling people a duche-bag instead of an idiot, because it seems to do a better job describing the person.
Playfairy while providing some good arguments, doesn't go about presenting his position with much logic so you have to take it with a grain of salt. It is apparent that he spends a lot of time on PS2 playing NCAA basketball, so he feels like he is an expert (kind of like thos people who play Guitar Hero and think they know how to play a guitar), so just be patient.

playfair—As with any article in the paper—if you aren't interested in it, don't read it. Many of us have called the paper out more than once for not printing anything about middle school sports, so it's great when they do print something. If your kid were playing, you might feel different. So, thanks CDP. Keep it up!
