Sending mail to troops in Iraq, Afghanistan
The US Postal Service [USPS] recommends doing it ASAP. All Holiday mail for troops in Iraq & Afghanistan should have been mailed by Dec. 4 to arrive before Christmas. The USPS is running articles in the Daily Press "Briefs" regarding their services and deadlines. Read them and comply so that our young service men & women know that public support still exists for their sacrifices in our behalf.

Christmas card mailing address is a hoax
I had published an address this past month without fully checking it out. I suggested "While addressing your Christmas cards this year, why not take one and send it to this address:
A Recovering American Soldier c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20307-5001"
I received an e-mail stating this is a hoax and am passing it on as I received it::.
"Just read your article in today's Daily Press about sending Christmas cards to Recovering American Soldiers. Unfortunately, what you gave is erroneous information. I refer you to www.hoax-slayer.com/soldier-christmas-card.shtml. This explains that the info you gave is considered a hoax, but it also gives correct Christmas card mailing info."
Please go to that site and then address your cards correctly. Thanks.

CNCC has asked for presentations regarding the attack on Pearl Harbor as they are going to the USS Arizona Memorial as part of the tour. If there are any servicemen or their dependents that were there, the college would like for you to attend and tell your story.
