Eddie Kiggins: Restaurant experience was the last straw

— To the editor:

I would like to say enough is enough. I'm not one to complain, but the recent experience we had at one of our dining facility's was the last straw.

We're told to shop locally all the time to help the economy in the town where you live. We do that quite frequently in local eateries. Today was disgusting.

My wife and I decided to try something different so we went somewhere besides Village Inn.

I had a Western-style omelet, and she had biscuits and gravy.

Everything was cold except the coffee and when we said something about it, the answer was, "Oh well!"

Needless to say, we will never support that place again. If that's the attitude of the local businesses, then we need to go elsewhere.

Eddie, give us a hint so we know what to avoid. You hinted it is not village inn. McDonald's doesn't have omelets. What does that leave, one of the hotels?

I was wondering the same thing. I sure wish we had more to choose from, Village Inn is getting old for me.

Not naming names, I'll bet it is the one in the middle of the 500 block of Yampa Ave. But, I have had more meals comp'ed at Village Inn than anyone should. I-in my old age-do not put up with bad service or bad food. I figure I eat out often enough, tip well enough, and am not a demanding person, but I will not stand for poor food or lousy service.
