Wyman to host fun-filled day Saturday
Come out to Wyman Museum on Saturday for a fun-filled day for the whole family. There will be cars, ATV's, snowmobiles, motorcycles, antiques, kids clothes, toys, crafts, parts, racing gear and tools. Food will be served all day. There will be swapping and selling until 3 p.m.
There also will be childrens' games, face painting, a craft table for the children and wagon rides.
The Mountain men will be set up with displays and available to answer your questions. There will be a Flap Jack feed from 6 to 10 a.m. and hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch. Come out and register to win a Arctic Cat 700 or 650 2008 ATV. Early Birds are welcome.

'Homesteading Women' presentation Sept. 6
Join Julie Jones-Eddy for a presentation about her book, "Homesteading Women: An Oral History of Colorado 1890-1950" from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6 at Craig City Hall. "Homesteading Women" tells the story of Northwestern Colorado (Moffat County and Rio Blanco counties) through a series of oral history interviews with 47 women who lived in this part of the state. Copies of the DVD, "Homesteading Women" will be available for sale.
Julie Jones-Eddy graduated from Moffat County High School, then went on to become the U.S. Government Document Librarian at Colorado College's Tutt Library. Call 824-5343 for more information.
VNA annual meeting Aug. 27 in Steamboat
The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association and The Haven will hold their annual meeting, "Creating Aging Linkages for Healthier Communities," at the Steamboat VNA office, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101, in Steamboat Springs on Aug. 27, with events starting at 4 p.m.
A business meeting and employee recognition will take place from 4 to 5 p.m., and Chris Katzenmeyer of the Consortium for Older Adult Wellness and Penny Studebaker of the Healthy Aging Unit at CDPHE will speak at 5 p.m. about the aging in today's society from a local, state and national perspective.
Refreshments will be provided. This is an open meeting, and the public is welcome to attend.

Social Security planner coming Monday

David Nelson, a Social Security Benefits planner will be at the Independent Life Center, 483 Yampa Ave., at 9 p.m. Monday to answer questions about your Social Security retirement, SSI, or SSDI benefits; and to help you solve benefits problems.
