Senior spotlight for Aug. 12
August 12, 2008
From the amount of rain and slightly lower temperatures, it looks like fall might be just around the corner.
Also just around the corner are the following birthdays: Dee Phillips, Maxine DeLong, Betty Reece, Eloise Waters, Leon Walker, Donna Adrian, Paul Tabor and Robert Tomlinson.
Get well wishes to Mary Garcia, Eloise Waters, Adrienne Wixs and Miguel Pinela-Gonzalez.
As the seasons change, we have to adapt. Life sometimes seems to happen in seasons with spring being birth and so on. It seems I am in the winter of my life, and storms are causing many changes. One such change is my resignation as Moffat County Senior's Activities Director. I would like to thank all of those who helped make my job easier. If you have any upcoming senior events or activities, feel free to call Cammie or Jan at 824-3119 and they can help you.
Thank you also to all the loyal Senior Spotlight readers. I plan to continue writing for as long as my health permits. I do apologize for missing last week but one of those storms I spoke about turned out to be a blizzard in the form of a slight stroke that has temporarily affected my vision. Hopefully, there's a thaw on the way that will melt that clot. My phone still works, and I can still write down all that news the readers give me, so be sure to let me know any upcoming events, senior activities or family news.
Remember, a noon potluck is scheduled for Friday at Sunset Meadows 1 for all Moffat County seniors and their guests.
See you there.
