8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics is at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

10 and 11:30 a.m. The Moffat County Library, 570 Green Street, hosts story-time in the children's room. This week's theme is the County Fair and farm animals. Arrive 10 minutes early to avoid distractions. Call 824-5116.

3 to 6 p.m. Lettuce, root vegetables, fresh eggs, sheep cheese and quilted items are available for local sellers at the farmers market in Alice Pleasant Park. Jim Vorhies plays classical music. Call 824-5343.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A business after-hours mixer is at the midway at the Moffat County Fairgrounds between the barn, the grandstands and the pavilion. The event is hosted by the Craig Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. Door prizes and lots of food will be available.

8 to 9:15 p.m. Craig Group One Alcoholics Anonymous open topic discussion meeting is at 50 S. Ranney St. Call 888-333-9649.

Friday, Aug. 8

11 a.m., 1 and 5 p.m. Goat Berry Bingo Fundraiser at Moffat County Fairgrounds will benefit Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center. The event is near the grandstands at the fairgrounds. For more information, call 824-5204.

6 p.m. The Elks Lodge hosts bingo each Friday night. Fifteen games are played with a minimum payout of $1,000 each night. The lodge is located at 43 W. Victory Way. Doors open at 5 p.m.

7 p.m. Class of 1998 Reunion Adult Mixer will be held at J.W. Snacks. A cash bar will be available.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. The purpose of the group is to help people overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups in a safe environment. Live worship music and child care are provided. Late-comers are welcome. Call Caroline at 620-0659.

Saturday, Aug. 9

All day. Moffat County Fair events include free pancake breakfast, Breeding Beef Show, FFA tractor driving contest, pony rides/pet parade/petting zoo, singles disc golf tournament, gingerbread house decorating, live entertainment, lawn mower races, Cream'n Cotton'n Leather contest, doubles disc golf tournament, Cowboy Baby Contest, Survivor Olympics, kids hot dog social, sheep lead contest, watermelon eating contest, turtle races, live music, community barbecue, 4-H and FFA awards, 4-H & FFA Junior Livestock Sale and a dance.
