Black Mountain Theatre: Thanks for making production fun

To the Editor:

Black Mountain Theatre would like to thank the following people for their hard work and creative, fun ideas and great attitudes they brought to our recent production "The Great Diamond Swindle of 1872" which made it so much fun to do.

Our cast and crew: Bill Ronis, Kurt Ashley, Zach Hendershott, Randy Looper, Becki Miller, Roni Smith, David Morris, Kristen Sack, Michelle Walters, Hannah Miller, Cody Fallon, Beth Gilchrist, Kathie Johnson, Andy Chotvacs, Janine Rinker, Aby Sack, Jan Rinker and Cindy Chotvacs.

We also want to thank the youths from Calvary Baptist Church for the cookie sale in the lobby. Thanks to Brec Ronis, who designed our fantastic posters, and to Julie Dempster for her "behind the scenes" work and to Dennis Fredrickson who kindly gave us a place to paint our backdrop.

We would also like to add a special thank you to Beth Gilchrist, who first came to us with this idea and has been the motivating force behind performing this great old local legend.

Esther Campbell, who originally wrote the play, was close friends with Beth's great aunt and they were neighbors years ago in Brown's Park.

So this is, in fact, near and dear to her heart. Thanks Beth for bringing this to us and for so many extra things you did to make this show happen.
