Earth Day

The Moffat County Libraries will be closed for computer upgrades.

7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Kindergarten registration for the 2008-09 school year takes place at East, Sunset and Ridgeview elementary schools. A student must be 5 years old before Aug. 31, 2008, to be eligible for kindergarten. The child's birth certificate and immunization record are needed.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A driver safety program sponsored by AARP is at Sunset Meadows I, 633 Ledford. Cost is $10. RSVP at 824-5123 or 824-2139.

8:30 to 10 a.m. Senior swimnastics is at the American Legion Post 62 pool, 1055 Moffat County Road 7. Call 824-3625.

12:30 to 6 p.m. Bonfils Blood Center, based in Denver, organizes the Craig Community Blood Drive at the Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. To make an appointment, call The Memorial Hospital at 824-9411. Walk-ins are also welcome.

6:30 to 8:15 p.m. "Pulse" Young group, for youths ages 11 to 18, meets every Tuesday at the New Creation Church in the Centennial Mall. Call 756-0010.

7 p.m. Comunidad Integrada offers a free English and Spanish learning club, Intercambio, every Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club of Craig, 1324 E. U.S. Highway 40. The club is for all ages. Call 824-6424.
