To the Editor:
We would like to take this time to thank all the great people who helped us after our accident Aug. 13.
To the kind gentleman who was first on the scene, he was extremely helpful and though I don't know his name, I hope he knows how grateful we will forever be.
We also thank the Maybell ambulance and rescue crew, who were quick to respond to the call. Especially Dave Stoffle, who came back on his own time to stay with Kurt while he was waiting for law enforcement. He went above and beyond the call of duty.
We also thank the staff at The Memorial Hospital: Marie Kettle, Dr. Dennis Kinder, Karen Flannery and Chris Morgan.
They were all extremely caring, efficient and took such great care of us while being treated in the ER. Also, thank you Rod Compton for coming to the hospital and staying with me while I was waiting for all the tests to be completed.
There were many people who stopped along the highway to offer their assistance and care while waiting for the ambulance. I don't know their names, but their kindness was overwhelming.
Last, but not least, to all of our friends and co-workers who called, sent flowers and came to visit. You have no idea how special it was for us to have that outpouring of compassion and concern.
Northwest Colorado (Craig, Meeker and Maybell) has the most incredible and amazing people. Truly the best.
Thank you all again.
Kurt and Cindy Sorensen
