Craig Anyone with questions about retirement - from 30-year-olds looking to make the right investments to 50- and 60-year-olds taking that step - might want to attend the "Passport to Retirement" seminar.
The two-session tutorial will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Sept. 17 in Room 113 on the Center of Craig's lower level.
Colorado Northwestern Com-
munity College and Mountain West Insurance and Financial Services are co-sponsoring the event, with help from ING USA Annuity and Life Insurance Company.
It costs $39 per person, which includes a seminar workbook, personal financial data form and the lecture.
The lecture from financial advisor Steve Ahlmer, who offers securities through ING Financial Partners, includes sections on how to manage money through retirement years and allocating long-term investments.
"It's never too early to start planning for retirement," said Jennifer Price, of Mountain West Insurance. "(The seminar) is a good resource for people who might not know exactly how to best prepare for that time. There are a lot of factors people might not have heard of or considered."
In addition to investment education, Ahlmer is expected to present information on estate planning, life insurance and how to reduce taxes on income.
The seminar happens twice each year, in the spring and the fall, Price said.
The class is limited to the first 20 participants. Participants can register by calling Colorado Northwestern Community Col-
lege at 824-1101 or visiting the campus at 50 College Dr.
