The Craig Middle School Parent Advisory Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the CMS Cafeteria. All CMS parents are invited to attend.
Prescribed fire north of Maybell
Fire managers in Northwest Colorado are planning a 21-acre prescribed burn on Middle Mountain near the Wyoming state line this week.
The fire is intended to reduce hazardous fuels and improve wildlife habitat in the Elk Meadows area, 60 miles northwest of Maybell.
The burn will only be initiated if weather and fuel-moisture conditions are ideal for a safe and effective fire.
