Craig The Moffat County Bulldog soccer team finished the season Thursday, with coach Seth Young exceptionally pleased with the team’s effort, despite missing the playoffs.
The Bulldogs finished the season with four wins, doubling last year’s total.
“I’m really proud of how this team pulled together throughout the course of the season,” Young said. “The improved immensely.”
The Bulldogs went 2-1-1 during its last four games — the best stretch of the season.
They beat Palisade and a playoff-bound team in Eagle Valley. They tied play-off bound Steamboat Springs and led — before eventually falling, 2-1, — to playoff-bound and defending Western Slope League champions Battle Mountain.
“They definitely got up for the competition,” Young said. “They started the season slow, but they turned into winners.”
