Elmer Monahan, M.D.: Outdated hospital won’t attract good staff

There is a nationwide shortage of doctors and nurses. This is worsening. The type of hospital Craig provides will have a powerful effect on medical recruiting.
No hospital can be better than its medical staff. An outdated institution will not attract the high level of staffing the future must have.
Nurses, doctors, all medical professionals, can now pick and choose where they work. This will increase with no end in sight. A good hospital gets good people.
The existing hospital has served well for 57 years. I’m proud to have been a part of it. It’s vital now for a new start. We are close to the tipping point.
Elmer Monahan, M.D.
