1 to 4 p.m. The Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform hosts a public meeting inside the ball room at the Holiday Inn of Craig. The meeting is open to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 14

1:30 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary bingo is at the VFW Hall, 419 E. Victory Way. Open to the public. Sunday bingo sessions occur every week. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

3 p.m. The Moffat County Chapter of Routt County Habitat for Humanity will hold its Dedication Ceremony. The public is invited to attend at the house site, 745 Yampa Avenue. Call 824-3990.

Monday, Oct. 15

4 to 6 p.m. The MS Support Group meets at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association's Craig office at 745 Russell St. Guest speakers will be Annie Smyth and Priscilla Magnall, representatives of the National MS Society. Call Kathy or Sandy Beran at the VNA at 824-8233.

5:30 p.m. The monthly meeting of the Moffat County Libraries Board of Trustees takes place at the Craig branch, 570 Green St. The meeting is open to the public.

6 to 9 p.m. First day of a weeklong hunter safety course at the Hayden High School media room. Classes run 6 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. Class meets at the gun range Saturday morning, time to be announced. Cost is $5. A minimum of 10 students is needed. Call 870-2197 or 276-3338.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

4 to 7 p.m. Craig Intermediate School has Parent Teacher conferences. No appointment is necessary. Progress reports will be handed out. Conference dates also available Thursday.

6:30 p.m. The Fall Vocal Clinic plays in the Moffat County High School auditorium. The clinic is expected to draw 200 to 250 choir students from the Western Slope. Each high school will perform two songs, and then there will be five to six pieces performed by all choirs together.

Wednesday, Oct. 17

The PSAT test will offered at Moffat County High School during regular school hours for sophomores and juniors. Cost is $13. Students should sign up with Paula Duzik. Call 824-7036.

The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries is closed from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for staff development and computer upgrades.

6 p.m. The First Congregational United Church of Christ is hosting a free movie night with popcorn.

7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first eight-hour "crash course" for temporary hunter educations cards. This class will be the last day before the start of the second season.
