A 62-year-old Craig man was wrongfully booked into the Moffat County Jail on Monday, authorities said.
Jack Paulson turned himself in to the jail after he heard a warrant was out for his arrest. The warrant originated from the Rio Blanco County Sheriff's Office, which reported it made a clerical error by mistakenly using Paulson's name on a citation.
The Moffat County Sheriff's Office has begun the process of clearing Paulson's record of the wrongful arrest, clerks said Monday afternoon.
