The Baggs, Wyo., Police Department has received several grants and donations recently, the police department reported Monday.
Patterson & Wilder Construction Co. donated a $1,000 check for new police equipment. The Colorado State Patrol donated 4 code, three light bars, which will replace older light bars.
Yampa Valley Electric donated $1,630 for the purchase of a video recording light.
The donations are much appreciated, police said.
“We would like to thank those who have donated and granted us this money and equipment,” police said in a press release. “Baggs, like many small towns, has been impacted by the oil and gas exploration in our area. We continue to see increases in calls for service and our revenues remain the same, creating tight budgets. This equipment and monies will help in bridging the gap and allow us to meet the needs of our communities.”
