Patricia Ellen Sabatino died May 12 at The Sandrock Care and Rehabilitation Center in Craig. She was 56.
Sabatino was born Nov. 28, 1950, in St. Louis, to Anthony and Wanda (Smith) Sabatino. She was raised and attended school in St. Louis.
Patricia married Edward A. Smercina, and to this union three children were born. They made their home in the Thornton and Northglenn area, and then in Walden.
Their marriage ended after 19 years. Patricia worked as a secretary for many years and was a production manager for a manufacturing company.
Patricia married Chris Ramsey on Nov. 24, 1990, and they made their home in Steamboat Springs, and for a time lived at the CDOT camp on Rabbit Ears Pass.
Patricia since has lived at the Haven in Hayden and in Denver.
She enjoyed fishing, bowling, dancing, shopping on QVC, her Pepsi and her dog, Dollie. At one time, she was an EMT.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Ramsey, of Kremmling; daughters Misty (Larry) Gallegos, of Craig; Trish (Kelly) Eacret, of Walden; son Ed (Tylan) Smercina, of Craig; grandchildren, Tiawna, Eddie III, Ebawnee, Taytum, Tessa, Shelby, Shaylam, Tyler, Dakota, Trey and Jaden; and sister Pam Henke, of Missouri.
Sabatino was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tony Sabatino.
Funeral services were held May 25 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Fr. James Fox officiating. The soloist was Joyce Miller, who was accompanied on the piano by Elaine DeuPree.
Special selections were "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art."
Pallbearers were Chris Ramsey, Ed Smercina II, Tylawn Smercina, Larry Gallegos, Misty Gallegos and Tyler Smercina.
Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Smercina III, Trey Lujan and Jaden Gallegos.
Interment followed at the Craig Cemetery.
