Maybell Cultural Heritage Group: Sombrero Ranches Horse Drive a success

The viewing of the Sombrero Ranches Horse Drive through Maybell was a huge success this year despite Mother Nature.

We want to extend a thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who contributed to the event.

First and foremost we owe Sombrero Ranches a huge thank you. They allowed us to "tag" on to their event by encouraging people to come to Maybell and take in this spectacular event. We appreciate Sombrero Ranches' continued support of Maybell.

Another huge thank you is extended to the Moffat County Tourism Association. With the help of the grant money we were awarded we were able to reach a larger market and to grow our activities. Shelly Flannery was extremely valuable in her knowledge and expertise of marketing and planning.

In addition we would like to thank the following individuals; Dennis Ogle, Maybell Park, Moffat County Commissioners, Norm Mayes, Scott & Lorena Shaffer, Tyler & Kearn Gerber, Yampa Valley Boys and Lou Wyman.

Without your contributions our event would have not been as successful. A special thank you to all the vendors who came out and braved the elements.

And last but certainly not least, a great big thank you to all the spectators. We appreciate people coming out and taking part in the day's activities despite the less than ideal conditions. We had people from all over the U.S. attend the event. We hope you enjoyed the day and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
