Ada McArthur: Community pride should apply to all

The Craig Daily Press poll this week asks how successful the Clean Up Craig attempt was. Any attempt to beautify our town and area is admirable.

There have been comments in the past about what impression is given to travelers entering Craig. I have been here nine years. That total time, there has been an "opening soon" sign on the derelict old drive-in building.

This is a fraudulent claim and the building is an eyesore as well as dangerous.

It is not boarded up and animals as well as transients can enter.

It is, in my opinion, an ugly misleading disgrace to the east entrance of Craig.

Privately owned, there is nothing to be done about it, is what I have been told by many "powers that be."

How nice it would be if community pride of ownership applied to everyone.
