The Craig Sea Sharks placed sixth out of eight teams in combined team scoring with 332 points at May 12's Delta Short Distance meet.
The girls came in second-place with 267 points and the boys eighth with 65.
The Sea Sharks consists of boys and girls ages 5 to 18.
Coach Meghan Francone was impressed with the performance of the squad in its first meet of the year.
"We came out of the gates run--ning. They were pumped up," Fran--cone said. "I am really excited for this season. I think we are going to turn some heads."
Seventeen-year-old Kelsey Conci placed first in the 100-yard freestyle in 58.21 seconds.
Kelsey and twin sister Caitlin went one-two in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.24 and 1:07.22, respectively.
Sixteen-year-old Megan Trujillo came in fifth in 1:14.19.
Caitlin and Kelsey placed first and third, respectively, in the 100 butterfly, with times of 1:04.35 and 1:14.41.
The twins finished in the same order in the 200 individual medley in 2:25.39 and 2:39.04, respectively.
In the mixed 11-years-old and older 200-medley relay, the squad of Megan Trujillo, Kelsey Conci, Caitlin Conci and Sara Kurz placed first in a time of 2:11.17.
The mixed 10-years-old and younger 200-yard freestyle relay squad of Laurel Tegtman, Tanner Snyder, Bailey Kurz and Christopher Kling finished in second place in 2:42.78.
In the 50 free, 12-year-old and younger, Colter Tegtman (third place, 31.98) and Christopher Kling (14th, 39.28) both scored points.
Tegtman also placed fourth in the 50 backstroke in 37.33. He came in third in the 50 breaststroke in 43.87.
Ten-year-old Laurel Tegtman clocked a 41.70 in the 12-year-old and younger girls 50 free for ninth place.
Laurel came in eighth in the 50 breaststroke in 46.15.
In the 100 breaststroke, Caitlin (1:20.78), Sara Kurz (1:22.63) and Emily Mahanna (1:25.03) finished second, third and fifth, respectively.
The Sea Sharks host a meet July 6 to 8 at the Craig Swimming Complex.
