Auction benefits rancher
The Charlie Cordova Last Chance Benefit Auction on Saturday night raised $23,000 for the cowboy battling a brain tumor, organizer Mike Long said.
"Charlie and Kristy and the kids were there," he said. "His mom came out from Walsenburg and his dad, Louie, and brother Bill were here for the auction."
Cordova, a Little Snake River area rancher and rodeo stock contractor, was diagnosed with a tumor and underwent an operation in March.
A Benefit auction was held on Saturday evening at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Craig.
