Obituary: William Eugene Wilson


William Eugene Wilson was born Dec.14, 1950, in Stockton, Kan., to Robert Eugene and Eulalia (Brown) Wilson.

Bill was raised in both Kansas and Nebraska and attended school in Orleans, Republican City and Fremont, Neb.


Bill entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1969 and served in Vietnam and Okinawa. He was discharged in 1972. He married Sharon K. Seabolt on July 8, 1971, in Franklin, Neb., and to this union a daughter, Angela, was born. The family moved to Craig in 1977. Bill worked as a cement finisher for a concrete company.

He died May 11, 2007, at his home in Craig, following a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Wilson of Craig; daughter Angela (Jason) Bradford of Craig; granddaughter Haley Bradford of Craig; mother Eulalia LaRue of North Platte, Neb.; sisters Lenora (Duane) Larsen of North Platte, Neb.; Sheila (Merle) Powell of North Platte, Neb., of Norma (Dick) St. Clair, North Platte, Neb.; brother Norman (Helen) LaRue of North Platte, Neb.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Melvin LaRue, a brother Calvin Wilson and an infant daughter Cindy.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, May 18, 2007, at The Grant Mortuary Chapel in Craig. Concluding services and interment were at the Republican City Nebraska Cemetery on Saturday May 19, 2007, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Dwayne Johnson officiating and the U.S. Marine Corps rendering military honors.
