In its final regular season meet before league competition, the Moffat County High School boys swim team beat two of three teams Friday at Montrose High School.
MCHS lost to the host Indians, 105-74, and defeated Delta, 99-33, and Glenwood Springs, 103-37.
Coach Patti Worsley said the Bulldogs swam well in the four-team meet.
"They were practicing really hard this past week and I think it paid off," Worsley said.
MCHS took first in seven of the 11 events as a team.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Trenton Taylor, Andrew Aultman, Tyler Kalsow and Kyle Steitz came in first place in 1 minute, 33.90 seconds.
The team of Donny Penner, Aultman, Kalsow and Cole Worsley won the 200 relay in a time of 1:42.78.
Cole Worsley was a double winner in the 200 free (1:57.12) and the 100 butterfly (1:00.27).
Continuing with the winning trend, Kalsow touched the wall first in the 100 free in 55.93. He also came in third place in the 50 free in 24.96.
Steitz finished in fifth place in 26.06.
In the 500 free, Steitz came in first in 5:38.05 and Aultman second in 6:14.55.
Taylor came in fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.15.
Freshman Nikk Warden finished in fifth place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.70
In a different foursome than normal, the 400 relay of Taylor, Steitz, Ryan Just and Cole Worsley won in a time of 4:00.26.
"I am happy -- we kind of mixed things up for this weekend," Patti Worsley said. "We are starting to taper now for league and state. This will be the final meet for some junior varsity kids."
MCHS travels to Durango on Thursday and Friday for regionals competition.
