The Moffat County High School boys basketball team may not have advanced to postseason play, but its work as student-athletes was noticed.
Junior Eli Buckner received Western Conference All-Conference honors, and classmate J.T. Haddan earned honorable mention.
In the classroom, three Bulldogs earned individual academic All-State first-team, and two others were placed on the honorable mention list.
Senior Kaleb McKey and juniors Colton Conrad and Haddan were named to the first team, while senior Andrew Magas and junior Clark Cleverly were on the honorable mention list.
To qualify for first-team academic honors, student-athletes must achieve at least a 3.6 grade point average, be either a junior or senior in academic standing, and must be a letter winner or equivalent.
The only difference between first-team and honorable mention honors is the latter requires a GPA between 3.3 and 3.59.
