Lee and Donna Jons
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jons recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Lee and Donna (Grill) Jons were married March 1, 1947, at a private ceremony in Douglas, Wyo. Standing up with the couple were Lee's brother, Roy, and Marj Dillon, a friend of the couple. After the ceremony, the couple traveled to Gillette, Wyo., for a short, one-day honeymoon. Donna then returned to Medicine Bow, Wyo., where she finished her year of teaching in a one-room school.
Lee returned to the Valley where the couple has resided every since; they are still actively ranching on the original homestead.
The couple has been blessed with: three children, Virgil (Sharon) Jons of Moorhead, Minn.; Danyne (Rick) Six of Worland; and Susan (David) Wilkinson of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and will soon welcome two more.
