Dorman Dale Silver was born April 25, 1918, in Big Cabin, Okla., to Henry W. and Chloe (Dorman) Silver. The family moved to Northwest Colorado when Dorman was young and lived in various places around Craig. Dorman attended Craig schools and graduated from Moffat County High School.
