MJ Durham: City should paint parking spots

Just a viewpoint from an out-of-town visitor regarding parking downtown.
I think you'd have fewer problems if the city would paint designated parking spaces on the street.
Right now, you have people using more space than needed because they leave lots of room between vehicles, because there are no markings to specify a space.
As an outsider, used to towns with designated parking, it seems like a lot of wasted space.
We've enjoyed our visit. Craig is friendly, and you have two great local museums.
