Steamboat Springs A power outage hit Hayden early Tuesday morning and left two neighborhoods without water, Town Manager Russ Martin said.
The Golden Meadows and Sagewood subdivisions were without water Tuesday morning because they are serviced by a pump station without a backup generator. All other areas of town are being supplied with water, Martin said.
He said the outage was caused early Tuesday by an animal that shorted a transformer at a power substation. Yampa Valley Electric Association crews are working to get power restored.
