The Sweet Adelines will present the upcoming performance, "Hallelujahs in Harmony," at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Moffat County High School. The performance will include soloists, duets, trios, quartets and choirs from churches in the Yampa Valley.
The Sunrise singers at Sunset, Electric Eagles at East Elementary, Hometown Harmony, Melody Butler, St. Michael's church choir and a Latter Day Saints church choir are just a few of the musical acts that will be joining the show.
Admission is $5 for everyone 5 years and older. Also, there will be a silent auction starting at 6:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the show. Some of the featured items at the auction are two-day lift tickets for the Steamboat Ski Area and other skiing items, a set of drive-up ramps for auto maintenance, an original painting by Bernie Rose, pottery by Debbie Dunaway, David Morris, and Nancy Tucci, and gift packages from various businesses, banks and restaurants.
Also joining the show is the Sweet Adelines quartet Dejvu. The quartet is part of a larger Denver chorus, Skyline.
Last year, the Yampa Valley Chapter of Sweet Adelines sang at the "Race for the Cure" in Steamboat, produced its melodrama show with the local acting group, participated in regional competition, Wild West Days, Christmas parties, craft shows, on the radio and at a retirement party. They also sing for weddings, conventions, and other occasions including Valentine's Day and telegrams.
