Resource Council meets Feb. 22
The Bureau of Land Management's Northwest Resource Advisory Council will meet at 9 a.m. on Feb. 22, at the Doubletree Hotel, 743 Horizon Drive in Grand Junction.
The meeting is open to the public and public comment periods are scheduled for 10:45 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Northwest RAC is one of three advisory councils to the BLM in Colorado. It is composed of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of the Interior to oversee public land interests.
The Northwest RAC advises the Grand Junction, White River, Little Snake, Kremmling and Glenwood Springs BLM field offices.
Topics will include field manager updates, Wildlife Commission resolution on energy, draft of the Little Snake Resource Management Plan, Wild and Scenic River and BLM planning, draft recreation strategy and Healthy Landscape Initiative.
