6:30 p.m. The Friends of Northwest Colorado presents "Being Caribou," the award-winning documentary film, at The Center of Craig, 601 Yampa Ave. The film chronicles filmmaker Leanne Allison and wildlife biologist Karsten Heuer as they spend five months on foot following the migration of the Porcupine Caribou herd.

Wednesday, Feb. 14

The Northwest Colorado Home-

school Association hosts a Valentine's Day party at Yampa Valley Baptist Church, 3900 E. Victory Way. The party includes potluck snack, crafts, games, a valentine exchange and ice cream floats. Call Annie Reuer at 824-6334 to RSVP and for time of party.

8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a Meet-and-Greet, hosted by a local business.

1 p.m. The Colorado First Conservation District hosts its annual meeting at its office, 356 Ranney St. Interested producers are invited to attend. Call Sherry at 824-3476, ext. 101.

4 p.m. Craig Poetry girls meets at Downtown Books, 543 Yampa Ave. Call 824-5343

5 to 7 p.m. Colorado Wildlife Comm-

issioners Roy McAnally of Craig and Tom Burke of Grand Junction are planning a public meeting in Craig to get input on wildlife issues. The meeting is to be held at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavillion, 640 E Victory Way.

7 p.m. The Yampa Valley Landlords Association meets at the Moffat County Public Safety Center. Call John Barr at 824-7120.

7 to 8 p.m. The Cancer Support Group meets at the Visiting Nurse Association conference room, 745 Russell St. Guest speakers will be Elisa Hayes and Ken Prescott with information on the Relay For Life to be held in Craig in July. The group will discuss putting together a team for the event.

Friday, Feb. 16

Noon to 1 p.m. A Bereavement Support Group will meet at the Visiting Nurse Association in Steamboat Springs, 940 Central Park Drive, Suite 101. The group is for anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one. Call Katy Thiel at 871-7628 prior to attending first meeting.

7 to 11:30 p.m. St. Michael Catholic Church presents Mardi Gras at the church, 678 School St. The Cajun dinner is served at 7 p.m. Music and dancing runs from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. The event includes door prizes, awards for best costume and a donation bar. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the church office or at the door. Call 824-5330.

7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate Recovery meets at First Baptist Church, 1150 W. Ninth St. Childcare is provided. Call Caroline 620-0659.

Moffat County Libraries are closed for the President's Day holiday and new lighting installation. Call 824-5116.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Visiting Nurse Association in Moffat and Routt counties are having volunteer training in their efforts to generate a dependable volunteer contingent of medical and non-medical personnel who are ready to perform various public health services during local, regional, state and possibly national emergencies. Volunteer trainings will be held in Conference Room 1 at the Yampa Valley Medical Center. There also is a training on Sunday. Attendance is required for one day. Call Diana Eilers or Steve Hilley at the VNA, 879-1632.
